A STRETTON nursery where children arrive ‘extremely excited’ has received a glowing report from Ofsted.

Inspectors found that families ‘cannot praise the nursery enough’ during their one-day inspection where they rated Kids Planet Stretton as outstanding.

Children at the Tarporley Road site were praised by representatives who described them as highly confident, sociable and friendly.

The report reads: “Their emotional well-being is exceptionally strong.

“Staff nurture this through the strong bonds they form with children, who they know extremely well.

“Children settle swiftly, even the youngest children who have recently started display high levels of confidence in their surroundings.”

Warrington Guardian:

Activities and experiences on offer at the nursery were noted by complimentary Ofsted inspectors.

They claimed that children benefit from an ‘abundance’ of new experiences and become ‘deeply engrossed’ in them – such as making soup in the outdoor mud kitchen.

Reactions from families to the nursery were noted by Ofsted inspectors who noted that they ‘cannot praise the nursery enough’.

They said: “They value the expertise that is shared with them to support children's learning at home.

“They state that the relationships their children have developed with staff are loving and nurturing.

“They have seen excellent progress with their children's development since they have started at the nursery.”

Children were not the only ones praised by inspectors.

Leaders and staff at the nursery have high expectations for all children, according to the report.

And they are ‘extremely’ passionate about ensuring all children receive an excellent early education.

Inspectors said that children benefit because of this – especially from 'highly' encouraging staff involvement in their play.

Staff, parents, and children have been busy celebrating the nursery's outstanding result.

Sarah Foster, manager at Kids Planet Stretton, said: “I’ve worked at Stretton for 25 years so have seen lots of changes and exciting times but this is definitely one of my proudest moments as manager.

“The team work so hard every day to make this a magical place for children to spend their days and I am incredibly proud of everyone.

“It means so much to us to be recognised by Ofsted as being an outstanding setting.

“The inspection day itself was actually a very nice day; the inspector was keen to find out what it is like for a child in our setting and our amazing little ones were only too happy to tell her.

“They enjoyed showing her our garden and telling her how we take care of the plants and keep ourselves healthy and safe.

“We will be celebrating this achievement!”
