A CORONER has ruled soldier Alex Green was unlawfully killed while serving his country in Iraq.
The 21-year-old Kingsman from Longford was fatally wounded by a single shot while on patrol in Basra last January 13.
Military investigations point to the shot being fired from an AK47 rifle belonging to either an insurgent or terrorist.
His killer has never been found.
His inquest took place at Warrington Coroner's Court this morning.
He leaves behind a three-year-old son, Bradley.
