A PUPIL was taken to hospital after suffering a reported medical episode at a Warrington primary school.
An air ambulance was sent to Birchwood CofE Primary School on Admirals Road shortly after 10.30am this morning, Wednesday.
Four police cars are also reported to have attended, as well as two ambulances and an advanced paramedic
The pupil was taken to hospital in Manchester, where they are said to be in a stable condition.
A spokesman for Cheshire Police said: “At 10.40am on Wednesday, July 20, police were called to concerns for the safety of a pupil at a primary school in Birchwood on Admirals Road.
“They are believed to have suffered a medical episode and are in a stable condition at Manchester Hospital.”
Meanwhile, a North West Ambulance Service spokesman added: “We were called to a medical incident at 10.34am.
“Two ambulances, an advanced paramedic and an air ambulance attended the scene. A patient was taken to hospital.”
A Warrington Borough Council spokesman commented: “We are aware of a medical incident at Birchwood CofE Primary School this morning, where emergency services attended.
"We are in contact with the school and will provide support and guidance as necessary.”
