THIS Saturday is one of the biggest days on the Warrington and North Cheshire Bowls Association calendar.
The first of this season's 'double-header' cup finals days takes place at Alford Hall Sports and Social Club.
Top of the bill is the Silcock Cup Final between St Oswalds A and Woolston A at approximately 3pm.
Both teams have a strong recent record.
Woolston A are the holders, while also winning in 2017, with St Oswald’s having last won the event in 2018.
The curtain-raiser is the Stan Bann Final between Richmonds S/O and Irish Club at noon.
Teams will be allowed 20 minutes practice on the green before the start times.
These competitions are for the league's Friday night teams and it is the first time they have been contested since 2019 due to the coronavirus pandemic.
