VARIOUS road closures will be in place in Stockton Heath this Saturday.
This is to accommodate for the return of the village’s annual Walking Day on July 9.
Closures will be in place on the day from 1.45pm until 3.30pm.
The following roads will be closed:
- Alexandra Road
- Carlton Street
- Chapel Lane
- East Avenue (London Road end)
- Ellesmere Road (from London Road to Francis Road)
- Grappenhall Road (from Parkgate Road to London Road)
- Heath Street
- London Road (from Sandy Lane to the swing bridge)
- Parkgate Road
- Walton Road
- Walton Heath Road
- Whitefield Road (from Walton Road to Cawdor Street)
A post on the Appleton Police Facebook page reads: “If you are resident on one of the above roads, or adjoining roads then please be aware that vehicle access in and out will be prohibited from 1:45-3:30pm.”
Stockton Heath Walking Day follows just a week after the return of the popular Stockton Heath Festival which took place last weekend.
This year’s highlights included an art exhibition, theatre and live music, a dog show, arts and crafts and much more.
