PUPILS at a Whitecross school have gained an insight into the working world.
This is thanks to a jobs fair held by staff members at Sacred Heart Catholic Primary School last week.
The day consisted of each subject leader pitching to the children about the importance of their subject.
Youngsters could then explore each stand to find out more.
The school has also now introduced ‘subject ambassadors’ which will allow pupils are who are passionate about particular subjects to make a difference.
After the jobs fair, Sacred Heart pupils took home application forms so they can apply to be ambassadors for the subject of their choice.
If they are successful, next year their job will be to help to improve their subject and be the voice of their peers.
They will also meet with the subject co-ordinator and work alongside them to make the school the best it can be.
