A LARGE emergency service presence was reported at Latchford Locks yesterday afternoon, Sunday.
Four fire engines from Birchwood, Warrington, Lymm and Widnes fire stations rushed to the scene at Thelwall Lane at 5.04pm.
Also in attendance was the Cheshire Fire and rescue Service rescue boat and the aerial appliance from Lymm Fire Station.
Crews were scrambled following reports that a person was stuck in mud, and on arrival at the scene, they discovered that the person was stranded ankle-deep.
Emergency workers used reaching poles to rescue them, and they were then assessed by paramedics from North West Ambulance Service.
The stranded person was located using the what3words app.
