CULCHETH Sports Club is now playing host to the Ukrainian Family Hub twice a week.
The support group, which is open on Wednesday evenings and Sunday mornings, is to help Ukrainian families and refugees to connect with each other.
The group says that it is there to support families from across Cheshire and the surrounding areas.
According to the Hub's Facebook page, the group also looks to provide support for the hosts of refugees and their families.
This includes assistance with visa applications, organising flights, ensuring that accommodation is appropriate for guests, and providing an environment where hosts can meet other hosts and other families.
On a Wednesday evening, the Hub is open 5-7pm and provides English lessons with qualified teachers, and 'learning through play' for children, which allows parents to have two hours of dedicated learning.
The Sunday slot, which is 11am-2pm, is to allow Ukrainian guests to socialise with others who are new to the area.
The Ukrainian Family Hub looks to provide free school uniforms, shoes, and equipment, and the hub has provided more than 15 free bikes.
The Hub also prepared a float at Croft Carnival to help raise awareness of the group and the work that it is doing.
The Ukrainian Family Hub is open on a Wednesday at 5-7pm, and a Sunday from 11am until 2pm; Culcheth Sports Club, Charnock Road, WA3 5SH.
