AREAS of Warrington which are seeing an increase in anti-social behaviour will benefit from increased police patrols.
Officers in Appleton and Orford are giving ‘close attention’ to locations which have seen a rise in yobbish behaviour.
These locations include the alleyways behind Greenfields Avenue and Bernard Avenue in Appleton, as well as the field at Brathay Close in Orford.
The latter has seen residents report a number of problems to Cheshire Police recently, the latest of which includes youths setting fires.
In an update, the force’s Poplars and Hulme Police team said: “PCSO Pritchard and PC Hassall have been on Brathay Close, talking to residents about the ongoing issues with youths on the field.
“We have managed to find where the fires are being set, so we will pay close attention to this area.
In addition, the Appleton Police team added: “PCSOs have been out on foot patrol around the alleyways behind Greenfields Avenue and Bernard Avenue after reports of anti-social behaviour.
“All was in order on arrival, but we will continue to monitor the location.”
