DETAILS have been confirmed for the funeral of Woolston Rovers Rugby League Club president Harry Crank.

The former Rovers player and coach, who has been involved with the grassroots club on a voluntary basis since it was established 63 years ago, passed away last week at the age of 79.

The service will be held at St Bridget’s RC Church in Fearnhead on Monday, June 27, at 1.15pm before a short committal at Walton Lea Crematorium at 2.40pm.

Before the service, the funeral cortege will pass The Halliwell Jones Stadium at around 12.15pm while there will be a guard of honour at St Bridget’s to recognise Harry’s decades of service to community rugby league.

The family have requested that attendees wear a touch of green and gold – Woolston’s club colours – or a Woolston shirt or tie to reflect his love of the club.

Family flowers only, donations if desired to the just giving page in memory of Harry to the Harry Crank Foundation.
