RIXTON-WITH-GLAZEBROOK'S summer carnival is returning, with fun for the whole family.

The carnival will be held on the village green in Hollins Green on Saturday 25th June.

The event opens a 11am, and it's free entry for anyone who wants to attend the carnival - it's set to be a day full of entertainment, as it's open until 4pm.

A variety of entertainment will be at the carnival, including inflatables, birds of prey, and music from a steel drum band.

Visitors to the carnival will even get the chance to walk with alpacas, and marvel at circus performers.

For younger visitors, there will be a magic show and a treasure hunt - but for budding engineers, and car enthusiasts, there will be a vintage vehicle display, too.

Not only this, but what carnival would be complete without stalls? There will be a range of stalls from community groups, and local businesses will be setting up, too, for any bargain hunters out there.

In the past, there have even been visits made my miniature railways.

And nobody will be going hungry, with cake stalls, barbecues, and ice creams available as well.

You could even enter your beloved pooch in the dog show being organised by Rixton Dog School.
