A WOMAN has been released on bail by police following her arrest in connection with a reported stabbing in Warrington town centre.
Cheshire Police said that a 36-year-old man was discovered with ‘puncture wounds’ to his thigh on Kendrick Street shortly after midnight on Monday, June 13, before being rushed to hospital for treatment.
The alleyway between Legh Street and the Warrington Town Hall car park was cordoned off by officers for most of Monday as investigations were carried out.
A 35-year-old woman, from Warrington, who was detained on suspicion of inflicting grievous bodily harm in connection with the attack was released on conditional bail yesterday afternoon, Tuesday.
She is now due to answer her bail on July 12.
The force has not verified reports that the injured man was found at the Travelodge on Kendrick Street.
Patrol cars were seen stationed outside the hotel on Monday.
