FAMILIES are invited to join in with some Jubilee fun at Warrington Central Library.

The family fun day will include a performance from The Warrington Signing Choir, storytelling from Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service and the chance to look around a fire engine.

An interaction history role play from Imagining Histories will also be available on the day.

The day will take place on Saturday, June 4,  from 10.30am.

There will also be lots of opportunities to get crafting with Union Jack bunting, a 3D printing demo, jewellery-making and cake decorating, as well as paper crafts and calligraphy from Mulan Culture and Warrington Museum’s ever popular Crafternoons.

Throughout the day artist Stef Woof will be creating a piece of artwork with the help of everyone who attends which will then become a permanent mural commemorating the Platinum Jubilee.

You can take a break with tea and cake while you watch the Jubilee slide show and take a trip down memory lane with items from the museum collection and items specially made by some of Warrington craft groups.

The Jubilee celebrations mark the launch of Warrington LitFest - a full week of events organised by LiveWire to encourage reading for pleasure.

The events run from Saturday, June 4, to Saturday, June 11 and include storytelling, performances, creative writing, author visits and more.
