THE police helicopter was called out over the town last night.
Cheshire Police have confirmed that the chopper was deployed in west Warrington at around 9.30pm yesterday, Monday, over reports of concerns for a woman’s welfare in woodland in the Great Sankey area.
She was later located safely and was taken to hospital by paramedics.
A force spokesman said: “At 9.30pm on Monday, May 16, officers were called to reports of concerns for the welfare of a woman in a woodland area in Great Sankey.
“Officers, supported by the police helicopter, searched the area and the woman was located safe and well.
“She was subsequently taken to hospital by paramedics.”
