POLICE are investigating a suspected arson incident following a car fire in Birchwood last night, Monday.
One fire engine from Birchwood Fire Station was dispatched to Centurion Close at 10.34pm after receiving reports of the blaze.
On arrival at the scene, the crew found the car to be ‘well alight’.
Wearing breathing apparatus, firefighters used two hose reel jets to put out the flames.
A spokesman for Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “Police were asked to attend as it is believed the fire was started deliberately.”
