LATCHFORD primary school staff are ‘immensely proud’ of pupils who shined in a regional competition.

Children from Our Lady’s Catholic Primary School took part in the regional heats for the Great British Dance off at Parr Hall – in which more than 30 schools were involved in.

The 15 youngsters from years one and two danced hip-hop to Born to Hand Jive which landed them third place in the competition, despite being the youngest troupe there.

And now the team, who were delighted with their success, have been invited to compete in the Great British Dance-Off National Championships in Cheltenham on July 4.

Head teacher John Marciniak said: “The school is immensely proud of the key stage one pupils for their efforts and we are grateful to all the parents and staff for their encouragement and support with the competitors.

“We are all very excited for the trip down to Cheltenham to compete in the National Championships.”

Parents, staff and dance teacher Claire from Claire Lizzie School of Dance were ‘immensely proud’ of the children.

The group is now working harder than ever in order to put their best foot forward in July.
