MOTORISTS are being warned of delays on the M62 this morning, Thursday.
One lane is currently closed and queueing traffic is being reported following a crash on the eastbound carriageway.
Involving a car, the accident occurred at junction 11 for the A574 Birchwood Way at Birchwood.
Congestion stretched back to junction nine for Winwick, with lane one of four being closed.
There are also reports of slow-moving traffic further down the eastbound side due to another accident.
This occurred between junction seven for Rainhill Stoops and junction eight for Burtonwood.
According to North West Motorway Police, patrols are making their way to the scene of the crash after receiving reports of lanes being blocked.
The force is advising drivers to please avoid the area if you can.
