A PATH through Orford Park has been ‘completely blocked’ by travellers who have set up camp on the field.
The group moved onto the field behind the Orford Jubilee Hub on April 24 - however, it is believed that more have moved on since.
In a video taken by resident Sam Riley, caravans and their associated vehicles can be seen blocking the path through the park.
Sam was unable to get through with her pram.
She said: “I’ve got a bee in my bonnet.
“You can’t even get on to the path, they have blocked it.”
According to a Cheshire West and Chester website that is dedicated to reporting encampments, the group has been served a court order today.
The current Orford Park encampment follows the news this morning, Wednesday, that more than 20 caravans had moved onto the land at Victoria Park.
They moved onto the land off Knutsford Road yesterday evening, Tuesday, after allegedly removing barriers to gain access.
Warrington Borough Council has been contacted for comment.
