DARYL Powell has offered to meet with Warrington Wolves fans who travelled to see their side hammered by Hull KR tonight.

Supporters who were at Craven Park reacted angrily towards players at full time after their fifth successive defeat, with Rovers running out 34-18 winners.

Now, Powell has made the following offer to fans who made the trip, saying he is “100 per cent committed” to turning things around.

“For me, I’d like to sit down with the people who came over here, have a beer with them and explain how I’m going to turn this around,” he said.

“I did this at Featherstone years ago and that will be a commitment from me.

“I think it’s pretty important that we don’t sit and let people have an inability to ask questions to those at the top, which is where I sit at the moment from a coaching perspective.

“I’d be fuming if I was them and I’m fuming that’s what we’re serving up at the moment.

“I would be very disappointed if I’d come over here to watch those players take the field.

“I am 100 per cent committed to making sure this works.”

“I’m not one for walking away from anything – whether that’s a job, people or a commitment to anything.”
