VILLAGERS have been warned by police that ‘pushy and verbally aggressive’ door-to-door sellers are operating in north Warrington.
Residents of Burtonwood and Winwick have reported instances of in-person cold callers to their local police community support officer.
Once at the door, the sellers have been reported to be aggressive in their attempts to sell their goods to unwilling customers.
Cheshire Police is urging people to report such instances to 101, while anyone with video doorbell footage is also asked to email this to Neil.brown@cheshire.police.uk

Updating residents, the force’s Burtonwood and Winwick Police team said: “There have been reports of door-to-doors sales people around the Winwick area being a bit pushy and verbally aggressive.
“Please ring 101 if this happens to yourself so officers can check the sales person to see if they are legitimate and deal with them accordingly.”
