ONE of the most underappreciated days of the year is nearly upon us – Pancake Day.

It is a day we often forget about until the week or so before, but once it is here and you are tucking into a few, you remember what a great day it is.

For those looking to experience something a bit different this Shrove Tuesday, March 1, why not try a hanging pancake kebab available at one Warrington restaurant.

Based at Time Square, The Botanist has brought back its signature sell-out special after a two-year coronavirus hiatus, and it says it is sure to make fans ‘flippin’ excited.

Offering a sweet twist on its trademark savoury Hanging Kebab, the cocktail bar has created three mouth-watering combinations to satisfy your crepe cravings.

Miniature pancakes will be hung from skewers with a choice of three different toppings.

Each one is served with a pot of sauce made specially to drizzle down the kebab and priced at £6.95.

Diners can opt for chocolate brownie chunks and a hot chocolate sauce or marshmallows and strawberries with a lemon drizzle.

Hanging Kebab enthusiasts took to social media to show their excitement for the return of the dish after the restaurant announced its Pancake Day offering via Instagram.

If you want to get your hands on one, you better be quick – the sweet treats will only be available from Monday, February 28, until Wednesday, March 2.
