The spread of Covid has seen many countries close their borders in an attempt to control the virus, and Australia is just one example.

At the time of writing only limited travel is allowed, with exemptions for Australian citizens, permanent residents, and immediate family members of Australian citizens or permanent residents.

However, later this month Australia will open up its borders again to vaccinated tourists and other visa holders from February 21, 2022.

If you fancy a holiday to the southern hemisphere and are flying from Manchester Airport, here are some of your options.

Manchester Airport flights to Australia for 2022

The travel agency Skyscanner has a number of options for travel to Australia for a huge variety of prices.

All of these locations and more are available to book via Skyscanner throughout most of the months of 2022 from the end of February.

If you're wanting to jet off to Melbourne in March, prices start at £702 for a return for one adult. 

Flights to Perth next month will set you back £699 and Adelaide from £815. 

From April, a return flight to Sydney will start at £620 and Brisbane £741.

If you're wanting to travel in the summer holidays, Canberra flights start at £1,075 and Alice Springs from £1,306.
