FOR those who were going to Parr Hall tonight, Monday, to watch The Stranglers, the gig has been postponed.
The punk band were due to take to town this evening but due to illness in the band, another date will be rescheduled.
A spokesperson for Parr Hall said: “We regret to inform customers that, due to circumstances outside of our control, tonight’s sold-out gig with The Stranglers has had to be postponed.
“The Stranglers were due to play at Parr Hall this evening, Monday, but due to illness in the band this can no longer take place.
“We realise how disappointing this is for ticket holders, especially at incredibly short notice. We sincerely apologise but we have been left with no alternative.
“We are working closely with The Stranglers and their team to come up with a rescheduled date as swiftly as possible.
“The aim is to have a new Parr Hall date in place within 24 hours.
“Please keep an eye on our social media for any updates and apologies again for the inconvenience caused.
“Thank you for your understanding.”
Due to illness in the band we have no alternative but to postpone Warrington (7 Feb), Nottingham (8 Feb) and Cardiff (10 Feb). We aim to resume the tour in Manchester Fri 11th. We will endeavour to reschedule postponed gigs in the next 24 hours. Pls keep an eye out for updates. pic.twitter.com/2Hu8rZGBoA
