AN expensive mountain bike has been discovered at a house in Warrington – more than a year after it was stolen.

Police officers were at an address on Cantilever Gardens when they made the unexpected find.

The bike had been stolen from a shed in Runcorn 16 months ago.

Stockton Heath police posted their discovery on social media, saying: “We have identified a high value mountain bike which was stolen from a shed break in Runcorn in October 2020.

“We were able to identify the bike using the bikeregister app.

“We will be looking to hold a bike marking in the coming months so keep your eyes peeled for dates.”
