A TOTAL of 300 jobs are up for grabs at the latest huge warehouse to open at Omega.

Popular recipe box provider Gousto is set to move onto Mountpark Warrington Omega, in a unit bordering the existing Domino’s warehouse off Skyline Drive.

The 300,700sq ft site has been described as the company’s ‘most advanced fulfilment centre to date’.

Nearly 130 people have been recruited for the distributed centre already, with another 300 roles to be filled within the coming months – including production supervisor, warehouse and fulfilment operatives, team leaders and quality assurance supervisors.

'Real living wage employer' Gousto says the new location will ‘help to meet accelerating demand’, while enhanced automation will ‘significantly increase the business’ capacity’ following record sales amid the coronavirus pandemic.

The depot will be run using renewable energy, including solar panels.

Chief executive and founder Timo Boldt added: “Our purpose is to build amazing products that have positive impact on people and the planet.

“The launch of our highly automated fulfilment centre in Warrington will get us closer to this purpose, whilst generating even more value for our customers.

“I’m incredibly proud of the team for their dedication to such a complex project.

“Now the focus is on hiring more amazing talent to join us at this truly exciting time for Gousto.”
