FIREFIGHTERS were called upon to tackle a shed fire in the early hours of this morning, Tuesday.
Two fire engines from Birchwood and Leigh fire stations were dispatched to Charnock Road in Culcheth after receiving reports of the blaze shortly before 4am.
Initial reports were that an outbuilding was ablaze, but on arrival at the scene, crews discovered that the fire involved a garden shed.
Firefighters used a hose reel jet to extinguish the fire and dampen down the area.
