MOTORISTS driving two cars that crashed on the M6 are lucky to have avoided injury, firefighters say.
The accident occurred on the M6 northbound between junction 19 for Northwich at Tabley and junction 20 for the M56 at Lymm Interchange on Friday evening.
The crew from Lymm Fire Station attended the scene of the collision after it was reported at around 6.35pm.
Photos published by firefighters show the significant damage sustained.
A social media post from Lymm Fire Station read: “Firefighters from green watch Lymm attended a road traffic collision involving two vehicles on the M6 between junction 19 and junction 20.
“Luckily, the occupants of both vehicles escaped with no injuries.”
