TRIBUTES have been paid to a 'caring family man' who has died in a crash aged 53.

Zaheer Ashraf was killed after the collision on Travers Entry in Bold last month.

Emergency services were called to an accident involving a silver Nissan Qashqai and a silver Kia Ceed shortly before 7.45pm on Wednesday, November 17.

Mr Ashraf was pronounced dead at the scene.

His daughter Safa and his wife Faiza have now issued a touching tribute to the dad.

The family's statement said: “Zaheer was a caring family man who cared deeply for his loved ones. He was always funny and loved making others smile around him.

“He loved giving his daughter sweets when her mum said no, and he tried his best to be the best father. He will be deeply missed, and much love is sent to him.”

Merseyside Police's enquiries into the incident are ongoing.
