MORE than half of areas across Warrington recorded rises in levels of coronavirus over the past week.
In total, 14 areas of the town experienced an increase in the transmission of new Covid cases, while 11 saw cases fall.
Fairfield and Howley is the area with the highest number of cases in the borough, recording 59 at a rate of 498.1.
At the other end of the scale is Penketh and Cuerdley where 12 cases were detected at a rate of 147.8.
Infection rates are published using Public Health England figures via an interactive map on the Government’s online coronavirus dashboard.
At the time of writing, the map displayed the number and rate of new cases in each area of Warrington in the seven days up to November 20.

- Houghton Green and Fearnhead – 47 (589.3 – up 25 cases)
- Callands and Old Hall – 46 (413.9 – down 5 cases)
- Orford – 45 (502.3 – down 9 cases)
- Latchford – 43 (442.7 – up 1 case)
- Bewsey and Dallam – 39 (463.3 – up 21 cases)
- Kingswood and Whittle Hall – 39 (366.8 – up 1 case)
- Woolston – 36 (531.1 – up 18 cases)
- Hulme – 35 (422.5 – down 2 cases)
- Padgate and Paddington – 35 (400.8 – down 5 cases)
- Culcheth East and Hollins Green – 33 (517.6 – down 17 cases)
- Great Sankey – 31 (422.2 – up 9 cases)
- Oakwood and Gorse Covert – 25 (472.5 – down 1 case)
- Locking Stumps – 23 (463.4 – up 1 case)
- Culcheth West and Croft – 23 (319.6 – down 19 cases)
- Stockton Heath and Hillcliffe – 23 (255.1 – down 10 cases)
- Hood Manor and Sankey Bridges – 21 (233.3 – up 5 cases)
- Grappenhall and Thelwall – 18 (231.2 – down 6 cases)
- Winwick and Burtonwood – 17 (271.1 – up 4 cases)
