A DOG rescue charity doesn’t have any more space to take in unwanted dogs and are making a plea for residents to take on rescue dogs.

Phoenix Dog Rescue, based in Rose Tree Kennels in Penketh, has been running since 2008.

They are now full and don’t have the space to take in any more dogs despite receiving calls and emails to take more dogs in.

“It is really sad,” said Jess Mulligan, trustee.

“People are already saying Warrington animal welfare is full so they’re coming to us. There’s not much we can do apart from try and find homes for those who can be rehomed.

“If you’re thinking of getting a dog why not look into a rescue dog. They’ve got so much love to give and it’s so rewarding watching them develop.”

So, it is only fair that we let you meet their dogs.

How Phoenix Dog Rescue describe their dogs available to be rescued and how to rescue them:

Paco

Paco

Paco

Our nervous boy Paco is looking for his forever home. He is a medium-sized crossbreed around three to four years old and from Romania.

He’s is a super affectionate and loving boy.

Paco is a special boy, it may take some time and a lot of patience but when he trusts you he really is the sweetest boy.”

Lola

Lola

Lola

Lola is an eight-year-old bulldog, she’s super friendly and loves a fuss. She loves nothing more than a good belly scratch!

She is toilet trained and not destructive when left.

Bruno

Bruno

Bruno

Bruno is super friendly and is going to make the perfect addition to someone’s life.

He is an energetic and playful boy so an active home would be best

Bruno is good with children, just big and bouncy so around 10yrs and above only for his new home.”

Tootsie

Tootsie

Tootsie

Tootsie is looking for her forever home.

She is a large cross breed from Romania and is around three-four years old.

She would suit an experienced family who will have the patience to let her come out of her shell. She is very loving but still very shy until she knows you.

Tootsie is a lovely girl, with a lot of love to give once she is confident with you.

Alaya

Alaya

Alaya

Alaya is a large crossbreed original from Romania and she is around 7 years old. Alaya is a super friendly girl who absolutely adores people

She would work well with someone who is at home a lot- Bernie worked super hard on Alaya being happy when she was left and did a fabulous job. But Alaya does still like to be in your company.

At first, Alaya was very scared of the lead but the progress she’s made since she was with Bernie is great, she’s now enjoys going for a walk.
