TRAIN stations in Warrington are among many in the north west experiencing disruption this afternoon, Monday.
Delays and cancellations have hit a number of services calling at stations in the town due to an incident at Manchester Piccadilly.
Due to trespassers on the railway earlier at the major Manchester terminal, train services running to and from the station are impacted.
Passengers are being urged to check before travelling.
Among the stations to have seen services affected are Birchwood, Padgate, Warrington Central and Warrington West.

Train operator Northern said: “Due to a trespass incident on the railway earlier, trains starting, terminating and calling at Manchester Piccadilly are subject to delays and cancellations.
“Services are now able to operate in the affected area, however are subject to delays and cancellations due to the earlier incident.
“We are working closely with staff in the affected area to make sure that services can run safely and return to normal running as soon as possible.
“Northern passengers can travel on alternative train operating companies to complete their journey on any reasonable route.”
