FEARS that there had been a stabbing in Lymm have been dispelled by police.
Rumours were spreading that someone had been stabbed by The Cross at around midnight last night.
People were speculating that the area had been cordoned off.
However, the police have reassured the local community this morning that no one was stabbed.
A spokesman for Lymm Police posted on social media: "Rumours are circulating of a stabbing in Lymm this morning. No stabbing has occurred. A male sustained a cut hand from broken glass."
