A WESTBROOK man was arrested in the early hours of this morning, Thursday, following a police stop check which found him in possession of an offensive weapon.
Just before 5am, officers on patrol conducted the search on a 33-year-old man on Blackshaw Drive, Westbrook.
While searching the man, he was found in possession of a number of items.
He was subsequently arrested on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon and possession of cannabis.
He remains in custody.
