A LARGE emergency services presence was reported on Bridge Foot at dinnertime.
Police and firefighters were called to the bridge over the Mersey shortly after 12.30pm today, Wednesday, over concerns for the safety of a woman.
She was spoken to by officers at the scene, and has since been taken to hospital.
A Cheshire Police spokesman said: “Emergency services were called at 12.34pm today, Wednesday, to Bridge Foot following reports of a concern for the safety of a woman on a bridge.
“On arrival, officers and firefighters spoke with the woman and she was taken to hospital.”
