SELFISH thieves stole two cars from a home in Birchwood in an overnight burglary.

The incident occurred in the early hours of Friday, September 24, at a house on Montcliffe Close.

Burglars broke into the house and snatched two sets of keys, before making off with the vehicles between 3am and 4am.

Officers are investigating and are urging anyone with any information, CCTV footage or dashcam footage that may aid their investigation to come forward.

A spokesman for Cheshire Police said: “At 9.20am on Friday, September 24, police received a report of a burglary on Montcliffe Close in Birchwood.

“Offender/s had broken into the property and stolen the keys to two cars.

“Enquiries remain ongoing and anyone who has information is asked to contact Cheshire Police.”

A social media post from the force’s Birchwood Police account adds: “There has been a burglary in Montcliffe close in Birchwood, where two vehicles have been taken after taking keys from house.

“Please can local residents check their CCTV and dashcams between 3am and 4am if you live in the area and contact police online or on 101 with info.”
