COURTEENERS, Kasabian and Blossoms will headline the 2022 Neighbourhood Weekender.

The festival will return to Victoria Park in its usual late-May slot for 2022, the 2021 edition having been held earlier this month due to Covid-related delays after last year's indie extravaganza was cancelled as due to the pandemic.

And the first wave of acts has now been revealed.

Courteeners will top the bill on Saturday, May 28 – marking the second time the Manchester heroes have headlined the event, having also been the Saturday night closer of the inaugural fest in 2018.

Wrapping up the festival on the Sunday, Kasabian will bring their catalogue of anthems to Neighbourhood.

Their appearance will follow a highly anticipated sold-out tour of intimate venues this autumn.

Fresh from their recent sold-out show at Manchester’s AO Arena, Stockport’s finest Blossoms will also take to the stage on Sunday evening – having previously played the Main Stage in 2019.

Others performing across the weekend include celebrated live acts DMA’S, Becky Hill, Tom Grennan, Starsailor, Cast, The Fratellis and Example.

Following their well received performances at this year’s festival, Sports Team, Inhaler and The Lathums return for 2022 with indie titans, Pale Waves, Jamie Webster and The Amazons also announced for 2022.

The ‘world’s premier Beatles cover band’ The Bootleg Beatles will bring the Fab Four's legendary back catalogue to life.

Festival favourites the Neighbourhood Inn, the cornershop and the library silent disco also return for what is now a fixture of the town's music calendar courtesy of Warrington Wolves owner Simon Moran's SJM Concerts.

Tickets will go on sale at 9.30am on Monday, September 27, via nbhdweekender.com, gigsandtours.com or ticketmaster.co.uk.

An exclusive pre-sale for Warrington residents with WA1 to WA5 postcodes will be available from 9.30am on Friday, September 24.
