A WINWICK Quay-based firm celebrated 55 years in existence with its loyal customers that have helped it on its journey.

E. Tupling, distributor to independent builders and plumbers merchants, held a momentous outdoor event to mark the occasion at its Calver Road distribution centre.

More than 150 merchant customers, manufacturers and key industry personnel who travelled as far as Kent, Wales and Scotland attended to enjoy the festivities.

Several local businesses were also included in supporting the event, including Great Sankey-based Traditions Sandwiches to cater for the day and A1Partyman, which provided the decorations.

With numerous demonstrations, informative conversations and free samples, E. Tupling utilised the event as a platform to also launch its new plumbing and building plastics and underfloor heating catalogues.

Claire Briars, head of marketing, said: “The event was meticulously planned to provide a captivating, fun and informative networking experience for our customers, while also proudly supporting the local businesses within our community.

“The day included personalised guided tours of our warehouse and offices, free food and drink all day, manufacturer exhibitions, an inflatable football shootout, a crazy golf championship, superb raffle prizes and the opportunity to meet the entire team for the first time since the relocation to the new site due to lockdowns and restrictions.”

Customer Oliver Wilson, general manager at Plumbing For Less, added: “The whole day was incredible from start to finish.

“Actually seeing the behind-the-scenes operations and the sheer scale of E. Tupling’s huge growth in such a short space of time was staggering.

“They executed the event in the same unique way that they run their entire business – I call it the Tupling way – 100 per cent personalised, thorough and always surpassing our expectations.”
