MOST areas in Warrington saw reductions in their coronavirus infection rates over the past week, according to the latest data.

In total, 14 communities saw the number of Covid cases detected fall over the past seven-day period, while nine saw infection rates rise and two were unchanged.

The area which saw the largest fall was Callands and Old Hall, where 27 fewer cases were recorded compared to last week.

However, Orford saw the largest rise, up 24 cases compared with the previous seven-day period.

Infection rates are published using Public Health England figures via an interactive map on the Government’s online coronavirus dashboard.

At the time of writing, the map displayed the number and rate of new cases in each area of Warrington in the seven days up to September 11.

  • Fairfield and Howley – 52 (439 – up 6 cases)
  • Padgate and Paddington – 42 (480.9 – up 16 cases)
  • Blackbrook – 42 (452.4 – down 9 cases)
  • Latchford – 39 (401.5 – up 9 cases)
  • Penketh and Cuerdley – 33 (406.4 – up 8 cases)
  • Central Warrington – 33 (285.5 – down 8 cases)
  • Stockton Heath and Hillcliffe – 29 (321.6 – up 1 case)
  • Woolston – 28 (413 – down 7 cases)
  • Lymm – 28 (222.9 – down 15 cases)
  • Hulme – 27 (325.9 – up 4 cases)
  • Kingswood and Whittle Hall – 27 (253.9 – down 12 cases)
  • Callands and Old Hall – 27 (242.9 – down 27 cases)
  • Culcheth East and Hollins Green – 26 (407.8 – up 7 cases)
  • Appleton – 24 (425.7 – up 13 cases)
  • Bewsey and Dallam – 24 (285.1 – down 2 cases)
  • Hood Manor and Sankey Bridges – 23 (255.5 – no change)
  • Appleton Thorn, Stretton and Walton – 20 (306.3 – down 5 cases)
  • Grappenhall and Thelwall – 19 (244 – down 8 cases)
  • Locking Stumps – 18 (362.7 – down 5 cases)
