TWO brothers from Culcheth are the latest voices of the Harbio Tangfastic advert for 2021.
Jasper James and Oakley James, were shortlisted for the role after applying through a casting agency, Lauren Kelly Casting, in Warrington.
The seven and five year old had to send a tape of themselves eating Tangfastics and discussing what the sweets looked like, how they tasted and how they would help them win a fight.
The two Twiss Green Primary School pupils were then invited to London to do a recording in a studio in Soho – with unlimited sweets!
Jasper said: ‘‘I really loved going in the recording studio and using the microphones with Oakley and getting free sweets!’’
Oakley said: ‘‘It was really funny pretending to be in a boxing match with Jasper and I love watching the advert and hearing my voice.’’
Jasper has previously filmed a corporate video with his sister Freya, however the Haribo advert is Oakley’s first professional role.
The boys’ mum, Laura James, explained how the directors were ‘wonderful’ and allowed the pair to be creative with the voice recordings.
Laura said: ‘‘Myself and my husband, Neil, were overjoyed that the boys were selected for this incredible opportunity.
''As neither had done any voiceover work previously, we never anticipated they would end up as the featured voices after a long selection process, so we are incredibly proud of them both.
‘‘Also extremely grateful to Lauren Kelly Casting for great representation and for putting them forward for this project. It was a great experience from start to finish, and hopefully the first of many!’’
Lauren Kelly, the boys’ agent, said: ‘‘I was really proud of Jasper & Oakley for approaching this project with such professional attitudes for their age.
‘‘Was wonderful to see them having so much fun in the recording studio & even better they get to see the project come to life on television.’’
