A RUGBY fan’s day was made when she was given a shirt by her hero Steve Price.
After banging on the window screen of her car to get the Warrington Wolves coach's attention as he walked past, Steve stopped and spoke to Francesca George on Friday.
After parting ways, Steve walked into the chemist where Francesca, from Woolston, and her mum were and gave her his rugby top.
Francesca, 26, shed a few happy tears and the whole chemist store were ‘almost in tears.’
Michelle George, Francesca’s mum, said: ‘‘He asked her who her favourite player was and she said Wolfie!
‘‘He’s a lovely genuine guy and we weren’t expecting him to look out for her.
"We were in Fearnhead Pharmacy and I was telling the ladies all about Francesca talking to him and I turned around and he was standing there.
‘‘He said he would Francesca like this top and she so wanted to give him a hug!’’
