JAKE Mamo will be leaving Warrington Wolves at the end of the season.

His long-rumoured move to Castleford Tigers has been confirmed, with the versatile outside back penning a deal to move to the Mend-A-Hose Jungle from next season.

Confirmation of the Australian's impending departure comes less than 24 hours after he scored a hat-trick in The Wire's 40-14 win at Wigan Warriors.

That took his tally to 23 tries in 47 appearances since joining the club from Huddersfield Giants prior to the 2019 campaign – a number he is set upon increasing.

He admits leaving the club will be "bittersweet" but he is determined to go out on a high.

“Although I’m looking forward to the opportunity next season, it will be a bittersweet feeling to leave Warrington behind," he said.

“I’ve made friends for life here and have built some great relationships with people at the club over the last three years.

“Since becoming a starter in the team over the last few months, I’ve really seen my relationship with the fans grow.

"I feel their support and I’m loving playing every game in front of them, so it will be sad to say goodbye to them at the end of the year.

“We don’t want to get ahead of ourselves but at the moment we’re playing well, the team’s gelling and it’d mean everything to go out on a high with my mates here.

"That’s the ultimate aim but in saying that we’ll remain humble and keep working hard each week.”
