BOTH of Warrington’s NHS-run Covid vaccination sites have received fantastic feedback from people visiting for their jabs.

Centres at the Halliwell Jones Stadium and Orford Jubilee Hub, which are operated by NHS Warrington CCG, received satisfaction scores in excess of 90 per cent.

Healthwatch Warrington was approached by NHS Warrington CCG to gain feedback on the experiences of Warrington residents accessing the vaccination sites.

This came through leaflets that visitors could complete during their 15-minute wait after being vaccinated or at home afterwards.

Across the two sites a total of 2,897 feedback forms were completed – 1,548 from the Halliwell Jones Stadium and 1,349 from Orford Jubilee Hub.

The former received a 98 per cent, five-star approval rating, with almost the entirety of visitors being completely satisfied.

Moreover, 91 per cent of visitors stated nothing could be improved, however those that did suggest changes mentioned better signage, a warmer building and background music.

Another added: “Very friendly people, good at distraction techniques and put me at ease.”

Dr Laura Mount, GP and clinical director of Central and West Warrington Primary Care Network who leads the Orford Jubilee vaccination site, praised staff for their efforts.

She said: “The team and I are delighted that so many people have had really positive experiences attending our local vaccination site at the Orford Jubilee Hub.

“The survey results reflect the dedication and hard work of our volunteers and staff, who since December have continued to try and improve the service for patients.

“It is very important to acknowledge the tremendous support we receive from partners such as GP practices and all their staff, NHS Warrington CCG, LiveWire, Warrington Voluntary Action, Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service, the armed forces, Warrington Borough Council, NHS England and many more.

“We also want to thank the thousands of patients who have attended our site for coming forward and receiving their vaccine, but we would like to encourage anyone who has not yet had a vaccine to book an appointment as soon as possible.”

Dr Mike Northey, GP and clinical director of the Central East Warrington Primary Care Network, who is one of the leads at Warrington Wolves vaccination site, also welcomed the feedback.

He said: “From pharmacists to paramedics and vaccinators to volunteers, everyone who has worked at the vaccination site at Warrington Wolves has gone above and beyond to ensure that all patients who come through the doors receive a friendly, well organised and efficient service.

“We feel proud and privileged to have contributed to the success of Warrington’s vaccination programme.

“Our site is now currently concentrating on completing second doses of the vaccine for patients aged over 50, but there are still many local sites you can get your first vaccine if you are eligible.
