The scene on the M6 to M62 slip road this afternoon
CLOSURES have been in place on the motorway this afternoon after the back of a van was ripped off, spilling its contents over the carriageway.
The incident occurred on the M6 northbound to M62 westbound slip road at Croft at around 2pm today, Tuesday, leaving traffic at a ‘standstill’.
Pictures from the scene appeared to show the back of a Luton van having detached from the cab of the vehicle.
Highways England have been working to clear the debris since, with both lanes of the route having been blocked as a result.
