Fathers' Day inspired Great Sankey Market to be held

The pop-up artisan market at the Woodlands pub will see many of the traders tailoring their products towards the men in families' lives.

So you can bring your dad along for a treat or look for some last minute gift inspiration.

Organiser Lisa Cowley said: "Whether it's a cheeky tipple, award-winning food produce, art, craft, design or vintage that rocks your boat, we have it all.

"Warrington you are in for a real treat. Bring your dad, father-in-law, dog's dad, granddad, step-dad, foster dad, dad-to-be and anyone else you fancy.

"This Fathers' Day treat dad to something very special. Spend some time with us, kick back in the outside seating area of the Woodlands Pub, grab a beer and soak up the Great Sankey Market vibe."

The line-up for the open air June market is described as the biggest yet with more than 60 stalls.

Lisa added: "Working alongside Great Sankey Parish Council, we are thrilled to be showcasing so many north west artisans and small independent producers.

"We are delighted to welcome back HM Pasties in June. We first met Lee and the team a few years ago and really admired what he had created in offering ex-offenders employment opportunities and by getting them back on their feet.

"HM Pasties are producers of the most incredible pies and pasties, with the social mission of reducing re-offending by employing people with criminal convictions.

The market will be at The Woodlands Pub in Liverpool Road on Saturday, June 19, between 10am and 4pm with free entry. Dogs are also welcome.
