AN accidental fire involving conifers spread to the guttering of a house.
Firefighters were called to Cheddar Grove in Burtonwood shortly before 4pm yesterday.
On arrival smoke was coming from the conifers and the fire had affected the guttering of a nearby domestic property.
No smoke had entered the property.
Firefighters extinguished the fire with a hose reel jet and inspected the roof space of the property to make sure that it was safe.
A thermal imaging camera was used to look for hotspots.
Firefighters left once they were satisfied that the fire was fully out and it was safe.
Crews were at the the scene for around 45 minutes.
A spokesman for Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "The fire is believed to have been started accidentally via a naked flame."
Two fire engines from Warrington and Penketh attended the incident.
