HOSPITALITY venues, leisure facilities and children's play centres in Warrington can reopen on Monday and among those celebrating is the team at The Jungle.

In a press conference yesterday, Prime Minister Boris Johnson confirmed the third step of the 'roadmap' for easing lockdown restrictions will go ahead as planned.

As well as the likes of pubs, restaurants, cinemas and theatres, soft play centres can finally reopen.

It is not a moment too soon for Sarah and Paul Lott, who own The Jungle in Pinners Brow Retail Park, who said in October last year they felt attractions for young children had been 'forgotten' among ever changing Covid restrictions.

The soft play centre will be operating under a reduced capacity for pre-booked sessions only from Monday – until the next step in restrictions easing on June 21 – but Sarah said she was 'delighted' to be reopening.

She said: "We closed our doors for the third time last year on Christmas Eve and have managed to keep about half of the team by using the furlough scheme.

"It’s been a difficult year and we are all looking forward to getting back to some normality.

"We have spent the last few months refreshing the paintwork and, having permanently removed the ball pool, we have added some new mini trampolines that we know our little customers are going to love.

"Many parents have been messaging to say they can’t wait to come back as their children have really missed the opportunity to play and mix with other children."

The Jungle is expected to operate at about 40 per cent capacity.

Sessions for play along with sensory play sessions for under ones and new Story Stars sessions for toddlers are available to book at thejungle.uk.net
