WARRINGTON Hospital has reached a landmark in terms of the number of patients that have been discharged after beating coronavirus.
As of this afternoon, Monday, more than 2,000 people have been allowed to leave the Lovely Lane site after recovering from Covid-19 throughout the pandemic.
The great news was confirmed by Warrington and Halton Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
At present, 17 beds at the hospital are occupied by patients that have tested positive for the virus, of which one is in intensive care.
This is a fall of seven patients since Friday, while the number in ICU remains the same.

Since Friday, eight patients were discharged, bringing the discharge total to date to 2,007.
Moreover, no new coronavirus related deaths were recorded during this time, with the virus death toll remaining at 499.
Since the start of the pandemic, the trust has conducted 92,851 tests for Covid, with 5,446 returning positive.
