HERE is a list of the roadworks set to take place in Warrington in the coming weeks.

n Malpas Drive, Great Sankey >

From Tuesday, May 4, sewer work will take place.

United Utilities will carry out the work for two weeks and closures will be in places when necessary.

n Ulverston Avenue, Orford

From May 5, the parking area from 50 to 64 will be closed due to elections

n Brock Road, Birchwood >

On May 6 from 9pm until midnight, the road will be closed from the junction with Benson Road due to the elections

n Beresford Street, Padgate >

An application has been made to make the road one way.

This is to stop the narrow road being used as a rat run for drivers to avoid Padgate Lane.

Objections must be raised by May 20

n Roads around Fairfield and Howley >

Carriageway works start on May 24 for eight weeks.

The roads affected are Oakland Street, Padgate Lane, Grosvenor Avenue, Connaught Avenue, Clarence Street, Derby Drive, Claude Street, Granville Street, Buckton Street, Marsh Street, Fife Road and Egerton Avenue.

Will will run between 9.30am and 5.30pm and 3.30pm when work is on Padgate Lane.

Diversions will be signposted when necessary.
