A DEALER who was caught trying to flush away her stash of drugs has learnt how much of her profit she will have to pay back.

Terrie Renwick was caught red-handed with her arm down her toilet by police who raided her Fearnhead home on July 16 last year.

The 28-year-old was due to be married and told police she was involved in drug dealing to fund her honeymoon.

Renwick, of Vulcan Close, was detained and officers began to search the U-bend of the toilet.

When nothing was found, they turned their attention to an external waste pipe and followed it to a grid outside the property.

The officer opened the grid and found what they believed to be heroin and cocaine.

Further examination revealed that there was 120 wraps of cocaine and 121 wraps of heroin with a street value of £2,410.

A taser, phone and quantity of cash were also discovered during the raid.

Renwick, who has a history of drug offences, was subsequently arrested and charged with possession with intent to supply class A drugs and possession of a taser.

She pleaded guilty and was sentenced to four years imprisonment at Liverpool Crown Court in September.

Renwick appeared back before the court yesterday, Tuesday, for a Proceeds of Crime Act hearing to learn how much of her profits she would be required to repay.

Despite the prosecution seeking the £60,468.98 she had acquired through her illegal drug dealing enterprise to be paid back, she was only ordered to repay £307.96 due to her inability to pay more.

This £307.96 must be paid by Renwick within the next three months, or she will face a further two weeks in prison consecutive to her original four-year sentence.

Following her sentence in September, PC Andrew Dolan said: “I welcome the sentence which has been handed down from the courts to Renwick.

“This result means that we have prevented heroin and cocaine reaching the streets of Warrington, and I hope that it will send a strong message to those who think they get away with any aspect of illegal drug activity in our community.

“We will continue to do everything we can to remove illegal drugs from our streets, and I would ask the public to please contact us with any concerns about drugs in their neighbourhood as we will act on all information provided to us.”
