MORE than 120,000 coronavirus vaccine doses have been administered to residents of Warrington so far.
According to the latest figures released by NHS England, 107,443 of these doses have been first jabs – which equates to 63 per cent of the town’s population aged 16 and above.
Health chiefs have been concentrating on ensuring the delivery of second doses over the past week, with 13,926 being administered so far.
Looking into the statistics further, almost all residents aged 55 and above in the town have received their first vaccinations.
For those residents aged between 50 and 54, around 90 per cent have been given their first dose of a vaccine.
A total of 27,032 vaccinations have been carried out on Warrington adults under the age of 50.
Across England, 26.6million people have received their first dose of a vaccine, covering 58 per cent of the population aged 16 and over.
Figures also show that more than 4.3million people have had a second dose of the jab.
